How It Works

The Official FC Mobile OVR Formula Explained

This is the exact formula EA Sports uses in Season 10 (FC Mobile 26). No guesswork — just math.

Find your Base OVR for each player
Open each player card. The base (grey) number is what counts. Ignore boosted OVR from training — training improves stats but does NOT change the Base OVR or Team OVR.

Calculate total Rank-Up points
Rank-Up and Base OVR are now counted separately in FC Mobile 26. A player ranked from 105 to 110 has 5 rank points. Add all players' rank points together.

Divide by total player count and round UP
Divide each total by your player count (including subs). Always use CEIL (round up, not down). CEIL(105.1) = 106, NOT 105.

Add both results together
CEIL(Base OVR average) + CEIL(Rank average) = Your Team OVR. That's it. No skill boosts, no training values — just these two numbers.

Substitutes always count
Every player on your bench is included in the calculation. Remove subs from your reserve if you want them excluded. Leaving a weak sub on the bench will drag down your OVR.

Rank up your weakest players first

Each rank point is averaged across all players. Adding rank to your lowest-ranked cards gives you more OVR gain per gem spent compared to ranking already-ranked players.

Replace your lowest Base OVR card

One card dragging down your average by 3 points costs you ~3 team OVR. Replacing your weakest player with a card even 5 OVR higher has a direct, instant impact on your team rating.

Manage your bench carefully

Substitutes pull your OVR average down if they're weak. Move low-OVR subs to reserve (not bench) unless they're strong enough to justify keeping them in the squad count.

Play players in correct positions

A player out of position may incur an OVR penalty in some game states. Always assign players to their natural or compatible positions for maximum rating efficiency.

Common Questions About FC Mobile OVR

Team OVR = CEIL(Total Base OVR ÷ Number of Players) + CEIL(Total Rank Points ÷ Number of Players). Both the Base OVR average and the Rank average are rounded UP (ceiling function) and added together. This is the official formula for Season 10 (FC Mobile 26).
Yes. Every player on your bench (substitutes) is included in the OVR formula. If you have weak subs pulling down your average, move them to Reserve (not bench) to exclude them from the OVR calculation. Our calculator lets you choose 11 to 18 players to match your exact squad setup.
No. Training improves a player's stats (pace, shooting, etc.) but does NOT increase their Base OVR or your Team OVR. Only Base OVR and Rank Points count toward your Team OVR. This is a common confusion — training is valuable, but it won't move your team OVR number.
The most common reasons: (1) You used boosted OVR instead of Base OVR — always use the grey number on the card. (2) You forgot to count substitutes. (3) A player is playing out of position, which may apply a small OVR penalty. (4) You have an event player from an old event in a non-compatible position. Double-check all inputs.
The highest Team OVR currently achievable in FC Mobile 26 is around 123, based on the most recent Prime Icon cards. However, EA releases new higher-rated players with each major event, so the maximum keeps increasing throughout the season. Prime Icon players from the latest events tend to have the highest base OVR cards available.
